Spirit lake taxidermy started in early 1992. I was trained by a master taxidermist in the state of Iowa. We are a family business where my wife and daughter occasionally help out in the shop. We have grown over the years, from starting out the business working in our basement, to now working in a 24'x28' two-storey shop built for the business.
I love meeting people and talking about their hunting and fishing experiences and adventures - it's the best part of my job. There is always excitement in the air when spring bear hunting starts. I love mounting those big bruins - and New Brunswick has a lot of them! New Brunswick is a great place to hunt bear, with many top-notch outfitters willing to provide that adventure of a lifetime. My respect and love for wildlife in general encourages me to produce very lifelike mounts which does the animal, fish or bird justice.
